FOR NEXT THURSDAY 2015 04 09: HEATING & AC HANDOVER & REWIEW & CLASS

HANDOVER FOR THE COMPLETE H&AC FACILITIES

Before class-time.

It should include (at least) the following for each of the parts:

Hydronic Heating (for dwellings) and

Air Conditioning (mixed water-air for little rooms & whole air for big ones). In a tentative way to be corrected at class for those of you that do this work (optional)

- A report explaining & justifying your solution (in just one A-4 format).

- Preliminary sketches for the different zone solutions.

- A sample of the calculations (in just one A-4 format).

- Constructive Plans & Details and a view of a significative part of your proposal (like for example an Air-Handler location & duct conections on the deck), with sufficient detail to show the possibility of building it.

- Must include the coordination of facilities with the rest of spaces upon the building´s plans (grayed).

- It counts positively the proposal of measures in order to save energy and natural resources.

- You can always change & improve your previous work, modifying parts of your building if necessary.

CLASS TIME (1/2): REWIEW OF THE HEATING & AC WORKS

- We will cast & examine some of the works submitted.

CLASS TIME (1/2): AIR CONDITINING

- We will begin with the explanation of these topics.

- Don´t forget to bring your A3 Canvas to work afterwards.

FOR NEXT THURSDAY 2015 03 26: NORMAL CLASS & HANDOVERS

Having overcome my recent surgical problems we can have normal class on Thursday the 26th.

Please send me before that date the mails with the handovers for:

- 2.1 Ventilation applied to the garages & dwellings & residential (other uses are to be treated with A.C.)

and if you want to advance and see your work exposed & commented next day

- 2.2 Heating (no need to be perfect, you can always improve it later) so we can review & correct your work in class time.

Bring also your A3 canvas to class.

HANDOVER: 2.1 VENTILATION

MUST INCLUDE:

- A report explaining & justifying your solution (in just one A-4 format).

- Preliminary sketches of the whole solution.

- Constructive Plans & Details for the garages & storage rooms, with sufficient detail as to show the possibility to build it.

- Must include the coordination with the rest of spaces & structure (beams & pillars) upon the building´s plans (grayed).

- A sample of the calculations one for garages (aeraulic), and another for dwellings (tables).

- Please conform in your drawings to the color code.

- You can always change & improve your work, modifying parts of your building if necessary.

- Before class time, all in one pdf (should weight no more than 10 Mb), and in landscape (screen) orientation please.

2.2 HEATING

We will begin with this topic exposing your works if any, then proceeding with the explanations.
As always: please bring your canvas to work in class.
