FOR NEXT THURSDAY 2013 10 17: VENTILATION HANDOVER & HEATING


HANDOVER: 2.1 VENTILATION

MUST INCLUDE:
- A report explaining & justifying your solution (in just one A-4 format).
Preliminary sketches of the whole solution.
Constructive Plans & Details for the garages & storage rooms, with sufficient detail as to show the possibility to build it.
- Must include the coordination with the rest of spaces & structure (beams & pillars) upon the building´s plans (grayed).
- A sample of the calculations one for garages, and another for dwellings (each in just one A-4 format).

- Please conform in your drawings to the color code.
- You can always change & improve your work, modifying parts of your building if necessary.
- Before class time, all in one pdf (should weight no more than 10 Mb), and in landscape (screen) orientation please.

FOR NEXT THURSDAY 2013 10 03

HANDOVER: 1.0 Building Proposal.
- Before class time, in one (combined) pdf, weighting no more than aprox.10 MB, and in landscape orientation please.
INCLUDING:
- Report explaining & justifying or repenting from your solution (in just one A-4 format).
- Plans for the different plant & vertical solutions (in the Canvas or another format).
- Form-Factor/ Compactness with the calculation of the number & discussion of it adequacy to the climate (in just one A-4 format).
- Solar Orientation & Devices involved discussing it adequacy to capture & maintain the free solar radiation (in just one A-4 format).
- Passive Fire Protection Rules: showing the adaptation of the Building to the DB SI (mainly in its points 5, 3, 1).
- Space Reservation showing the preliminary placement of Technical Rooms & Big Equipment and Pipe & Conducts Shafts & Chimneys.

The intention of all that is to be conscious of the preliminary determinants for the building project that affects from the very first stages of its design.

FOR NEXT THURSDAY 2013 09 26: OVERVIEW

We will continue the overview of the problems that are going to appear during the course for your building proposals. We will treat some important topics with big consequences for your designs, such as the space demands of facilities and some aspects of the Passive Fire Protection as it is regulated in the Spanish Tech.Code.
We will do the class-work upon it, so please have that part of the Code (“DB-SI Seguridad en Caso de Incendio”) at hand.
It would be very interesting if (voluntarily) some of you send me beforehand your plans via mail trying to conform them to that regulation, so we can project & discuss it in public.
