Class Time

We will contemplate an overview of the problems that are going to appear for your building proposals during the course . We will do so by reviewing some important design aspects.

2015 06 04 COURSE MARKS

FOR NEXT THURSDAY 2015 05 21: SALUBRITY HANDOVER, SYNOPTIC PANEL & EXERCISE & PLEA & POLL.

HANDOVER: 2.3 HOT SANITARY WATER & CSW & DRAINAGE

(In case you have not already done, or you want to improve what you have sent).

- Before class time, in one pdf, and in landscape orientation please.

INCLUDING (minimum content):

- A report explaining & justifying your solution (in just one A-4 size format each).

- Preliminary sketches of the whole solution.

- A sample of the calculations (in just one A-4 size format each).

- Constructive Plans & Details  for the technical plants at the bottom (boiler rooms, etc), and top (deck) and a view of a significative part of your proposal (like for example a bathroom), with sufficient detail to show the possibility to build it.

- Must include the coordination of facilities: Drainage (in green& brown), Cold Water (in blue) and Hot Water (in orange& yellow), and also with the rest of spaces upon the building´s plans (grayed).

- It counts positively the proposal of viable measures in order to save energy and water resources.

- You can always change & improve your previous work, modifying parts of your building if necessary.

SYNOPTIC PANEL: 3.1

- Reflecting the personal work done in this course. The best are to be exhibited in public.

- The criteria -besides technical quality- is that it should be attractive enough to catch the eye if chosen to be exhibited. 

- At the beginning of class time, composed to fit in one sheet of paper A1 format. Please use the color codes.

- Send it also as a pdf, weighting no more than aprox.10 MB in a separate mail "Exp….Name….3.1 Panel"

EXERCISE: Course Contents

- At 12:15 we will begin with the (compulsory) exercise for the whole course contents that is going to last for about one and a half hour.

-Doing it in English is optional.

-It would be about concepts & drawings derived from classes.

-No documentation is to be used.

-Bring drawing material with you (color pens, etc.).

-Bring three blank A3 copies of the canvas of your proposal.

- After the exercise we will continue with a little plea & poll and a (voluntary) time dedicated to solve personal & cosmic doubts.

-Please note that the marks for the totality of the course will be released no later than June the 4th.

PLEA & POLL

- Optionally we will continue with a little Plea & Poll and some time dedicated to solve personal & cosmic Doubts.

FOR NEXT THURSDAY 2015 05 14: HSW Handover, Course Questions & Answers.

HANDOVER: 2.3 HOT SANITARY WATER & CSW & DRAINAGE

Although you can send it later, it is highly advisable to do it now if you want to expose your doubts in class related to this part of the course (or to the previous one).

FOR NEXT THURSDAY 2015 05 07: CWS HANDOVER & HSW CLASS

HANDOVER: 3.2 Cold Sanitary Water

INCLUDING:

- A brief report explaining & justifying your solutions: type & layout & materials employed (in just one A-4 format).

- Plans that must include the coordinated Cold Water facilities (in blue) reflecting dimensions & diameters, and coordinated with Drainage facility (in green& brown color) and the rest of spaces & structure & foundations depicted in the building´s plans (grayed).

- Detail of a complete bathroom reflecting the construction & dimensions & diameters, and coordinated with the rest of facilities.

- The dimensioning of pipe diameters and other important elements should be reflected on the plans.

- Send before class time, in landscape format pdf please.

- You can always change & improve your work, modifying parts of your building if necessary.

CLASS-TIME

- At first time will review your sendings.

- Then we will begin with the Hot Sanitary Water solution

- Please bring a paper copy of the A3 canvas of your building proposal to work in class.
