HANDOVERs: 3.1 Drainage & 3.2 Cold Sanit.Water

INCLUDING:

- A brief report explaining & justifying your solutions: type & layout & materials employed (in just one A-4 format).

- Plans that must include the coordinated Drainage Facility (in green& brown color) with the sewage system (just one connection for the building) and the rest of spaces & structure & foundations depicted in the building´s plans (grayed).

The Cold Water (in blue) facilities reflecting dimensions & diameters, and coordinated with Drainage

- The dimensioning of pipe diameters and other important elements should be reflected on the plans.

- Send before class time, in two separated pdfs please.

- You can always change & improve your work, modifying parts of your building if necessary.

CLASS-TIME

In principle if nothing interferes:

- We will begin with the Hot Sanitary Water solution

- Please bring a paper copy of the A3 canvas of your building proposal to work in class.

FOR NEXT THURSDAY 2014 04 10: VHAC HANDOVER & REWIEW & DRAINAGE

HANDOVER FOR THE COMPLETE VHAC FACILITIES

Optional for those to come and want their work to be corrected. The rest can send it past the travel-week.

Before class-time.

It should include (at least) the following for each of the parts:

Ventilation (for garages & dwellings)

Hydronic Heating (for dwellings ) and

Air Conditioning (mixed water-air for little rooms & whole air for the big ones).

- A report explaining & justifying your solution (in just one A-4 format).

- Preliminary sketches for the different zone solutions.

- A sample of the calculations (in just one A-4 format).

- Constructive Plans & Details and a view of a significative part of your proposal (like for example an Air-Handler location & duct connections on the deck), with sufficient detail to show the possibility of building it.

- Must include the coordination of facilities with the rest of spaces upon the building´s plans (grayed).

- It counts positively the proposal of measures in order to save energy and natural resources.

- You can always change & improve your previous work, modifying parts of your building if necessary.

CLASS TIME (1/2): REWIEW OF THE VHAC WORKS

- We will project & examine some of the works submitted.

CLASS TIME (1/2): DRAINAGE

- We will begin with the explanation of these topics.

- Don´t forget to bring your A3 Canvas to work afterwards.

FOR NEXT THURSDAY 2014 04 03: AIR CONDITIONING

CLASS:

We will try to start & finish the AIR CONDITIONING topic.

Thus the planned exercise for that date will be postponed.

Bring as always your proposals for eventually doing a classwork (which I can collect later).

FOR TOMORROW 2014 03 27: STRIKE CONDITIONING

CLASS:

The AIR CONDITIONING class will be postponed till next thursday.

TUTORIAL SESSION:

If possible I will try to get into the school.

At about 11:45 I hope to be at the Laboratory (in the corridor bellow our normal class) to solve personal doubts about your works; if by 12:15 nobody is there, then I will leave.

FOR NEXT THURSDAY 2014 03 13: NORMAL CLASS & HANDOVERS

Having overcome my recent health problems we can have normal class on Thursday.

We will make a summary of what was learned these days in the other group (thanks to professors Agustín Sánchez and Jesús García Herrero).

Please send me the mails with the handovers for 2.1 Ventilation and 2.2 Heating (no need to be perfect, you can always improve it later) so we can review & correct your work in class time.
Bring also your A3 canvas to class.
